The easiest way to save at Starbucks is Starbucks Rewards, the free loyalty program in the Starbucks app. Since March 10, 2026, members earn Stars at three levels, Green, Gold and Reserve, and can redeem as few as 25 Stars for a free drink customization or 200 Stars for a free handcrafted drink. Members also get a free birthday treat.

Status lasts 12 months, and you can move up at any time. Every member can also earn bonus Stars by digitally reloading a Starbucks Card: 10 Stars for $30 or more and 25 Stars for $50 or more.

- Birthday reward: every Rewards member gets a free drink or food item for their birthday; Gold members have 7 days and Reserve members 30 days to use it.
- Redeem Stars: 200 Stars gets you any handcrafted drink.
- Free Mod Mondays: one free drink modification on a select Monday each month.
- Double and Triple Star Days: earn Stars faster during app promotions.
