Starbucks Hours: Opening, Closing & Holiday Hours
What time Starbucks opens and closes, how hours differ by store type, and which holidays Starbucks is open, including Thanksgiving and Christmas 2026.
Most standalone Starbucks stores open between 5 and 6 a.m. and close between 8 and 10 p.m., but every store sets its own hours. Starbucks is open on most major holidays; on Thanksgiving many stores run reduced hours, and on Christmas Day some stores are closed. The Starbucks app and store locator show the real-time hours for any store.
Typical Starbucks Hours
| Store type | Typical opening | Typical closing |
|---|---|---|
| Standalone / drive-thru store | 5:00–6:00 a.m. | 8:00–10:00 p.m. |
| Downtown / office area | 6:00–7:00 a.m. | 6:00–8:00 p.m. |
| Grocery store (licensed) | Follows the store | Follows the store |
| Airport, hotel, hospital | Follows the location | Follows the location |
| 24-hour locations | Open all day | Rare, mostly travel hubs |
These are general patterns, not guarantees. Drive-thru lanes sometimes stay open later than the café, and hours can change with staffing or local conditions.
